Welcome Mark Buergler, Market President in Fort Smith

by Grand Savings Bank

Grand Savings Bank is pleased to announce the hiring of Mark Buergler as Market President over our Fort Smith market. A thirty-three year banking veteran of consumer and commercial lending, Buergler has led many diverse teams and projects. With a long-standing commitment to the Fort Smith community, Buergler has served on numerous nonprofit boards over the years, and currently lends his time and leadership to the Good Samaritan Clinic Board and the Fort Smith EMS Board.

After earning his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas, Buergler moved back to Fort Smith where he met his wife, Eden. Together, they are raising two sons and are proud to call the Fort Smith area home. Outside of work, Buergler enjoys spending time outdoors golfing, fly fishing, and hunting.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Mark to our Fort Smith team,” said Tommy Coughlin, Arkansas Regional President. “His deep roots in the community, proven leadership, and extensive banking experience make him a tremendous asset as we continue to grow and serve the Fort Smith area with a personalized, community-focused banking approach.”
