Grand Savings Bank is pleased to welcome Assistant Vice President and Mortgage Loan Officer, Fernando Mendez, to our team.
Fernando is a skilled professional with more than fifteen years of experience in mortgage lending and real estate. Having earned multiple achievements in both industries, he provides a balanced, diverse, highly accomplished experience to GSB that produces enduring relationships and embodies the spirit of the Grand Savings Bank team and the communities we serve. Guy Cable, CEO of Grand Savings Bank noted, “We are excited with the addition of Fernando to our team and the level of mortgage experience and expertise he brings to the table.”
Fernando is a prolific supporter of local Hispanic children, helping college-bound students achieve their goals through his involvement in the League of United Latin American Citizens and the Single Parent Scholarship Fund of NWA. An advocate for the well-being of economically disadvantaged children, Fernando also supports the EOA Children’s House in Springdale and the United Way.
A native of Venezuela, Fernando graduated from the University of Central Arkansas in 2001 and was recognized by the Secretary of State with the Arkansas Traveler Certificate for his contributions to “the progress, enjoyment or well-being of the State of Arkansas or to her people.” Happily married to his college sweetheart, he lives with his wife, son, and daughter in NWA.
